Bernadette Everman is such a disgusting liar. The public defender's office in Los Angeles is such a vile sham..Bernadette is out of some Mel Brook's film. The fact that she is there to protect the interests of Americans is something that will make every American soon shiver with disgust and fear.

Also look up Mathilde Notaro in the Santa Monica, Stanley Mosk, and the appellate courts(division 1 second district) to get a better idea of the fiasco created by her and her dreadful lawyer, Allison Sievers, of the reptilian law firm of Lavely and Singer. Please, stick around as I am planning a justice bonanza tonight.

There is an insinuation in your comment. Allow me to clarify:
Tig and I have performed in several shows together and I consider her a friend. While we've exchanged the occasional email and phone call, I haven't seen her in person in over 10 months. We have never been roommates. There was some talk a number of months ago about a group of comics renting a house together-- I was one of those comics. While Tig and a couple of other comics did move forward with that plan, I've never even set foot in the place. Curious to know how you could possibly have heard about any of this, or where you got your erroneous information that I was currently her roommate.
Here's who I am:
I'm a standup comic who's been at it for well over a decade-- this past year and a half I've been inactive due to illness. I know and am on friendly terms with probably half of the comedians in Los Angeles. No exaggeration. Hundreds and hundreds of them. I love comics, from big shot headliners to first year open mikers. You can't do comedy in LA for as long as I have without becoming friends with your fellow comics. (Not unless you're antisocial. Which I'm not, Erin, even though I was a bedwetter and one of the best.) When the editor asked me about writing about comedy for citybeat from time to time I expressed concern. I could write about some brilliant comics, but many of them might also happen to be my friends. It was unavoidable. That's the circle that I run in. Was that a problem?
She thought I could work it out. Here's my promise: If I write about a comic, they're going to be relevant and excellent at their craft. If there's a relevant relationship, I will disclose it.

Additional clarification because a sentence came out wrong: the circle I run in contains some brilliant comics. I'm not braggin here and saying I'm a brilliant comic. However, I've written many jokes that are brilliantly mediocre. I'm saying after all these years in LA, I am friends with some people who are pretty damn amazing

Your comments and my initial response may have been inadvertently removed along with some targeted comments, which were removed due to their similarity to a glut of comments left on Tig's videos and website and in emails over the past year by a stalker. This person has been court ordered to refrain from all contact with Tig. This is a painful situation and it's truly unfortunate it has to come up here-- I hope that you find it in your heart to understand the circumstances under which you now feel slighted. And I hope that you will refrain from reposting those inappropriate comments as you did above, without waiting for a response.
Again, I am not Tig's roomate. But, I would call her a friend. I have not spoken to her face to face in over 10 months, although we have communicated occasionally by phone and email. As you can see in the interview, I indicated in the question regarding the crackpot tour that I have collaborated with Tig in the past. I was contacted by Tig a number of months ago when she learned that I might have been looking for a place. She and two other comics were concurrently looking for a 4th roommate in a houseful of comedians. I did not move in with them.
As a standup comedian active in the Los Angeles scene for well over a decade, I am on friendly terms with hundreds of comedians. I hope that the concern you've voiced really does regard journalistic integrity as opposed to a personal vendetta and that this will answer your question. My relationships with comedians-- and many of the comics who are most newsworthy in Los Angeles are also my friends-- will have it's pros and cons when I write about comedy. I've learned so much about the inner workings of comedy due to my experience working alongside these comics, interacting with them professionally and socially, and I think this experience qualifies me as an expert as to who is at the top of their comedy game, advancing the craft of standup and making a difference in the Los Angeles and national scene. But I acknowledge it is possible that my friendships might color some objectivity. I keep this in mind and I look to radio for a parallel: I feel that if Steve Jones can do a consistently good radio show, maybe I can somehow pull off an occasional article about comedy. My motivation is this: introduce the Los Angeles public to some truly excellent comedy in the city, and in the process, get paid a few dollars to do it.

I find your comments extremely bizzarre and dubious. I asked you if you were her roommate as I'd heard, and you had all my posts and those of another poster removed. Correction: You left one post that was flattering to you.
Now, you come along and mention that Notaro has a stalker. I don't see how that is relevant in any way to you removing posts that only inquire as to the factual nature of your duties as a journalist to disclose. Your statement as to your motivation: "to introduce the Los Angeles public to some truly excellent comedy in the city, and in the process, get paid a few dollars for it," is cast under a cloud if in fact you live with Notaro. You are acting as a member or the press and there are codas you must adhere to. As you can see, my questions are not answered. In light of such prevarications, your stalker story seems very fishy to me and I can't imagine your editor et al. would approve of such a breach of first amendment rights.

There is an insinuation in your comment. Allow me to clarify:
Tig and I have performed in several shows together and I consider her a friend. While we've exchanged the occasional email and phone call, I haven't seen her in person in over 10 months. We have never been roommates. There was some talk a number of months ago about a group of comics renting a house together-- I was one of those comics. While Tig and a couple of other comics did move forward with that plan, I've never even set foot in the place. Curious to know how you could possibly have heard about any of this, or where you got your erroneous information that I was currently her roommate.
Here's who I am:
I'm a standup comic who's been at it for well over a decade-- this past year and a half I've been inactive due to illness. I know and am on friendly terms with probably half of the comedians in Los Angeles. No exaggeration. Hundreds and hundreds of them. I love comics, from big shot headliners to first year open mikers. You can't do comedy in LA for as long as I have without becoming friends with your fellow comics. (Not unless you're antisocial. Which I'm not, Erin, even though I was a bedwetter and one of the best.) When the editor asked me about writing about comedy for citybeat from time to time I expressed concern. I could write about some brilliant comics, but many of them might also happen to be my friends. It was unavoidable. That's the circle that I run in. Was that a problem?

Your comments and my initial response may have been inadvertently removed along with some targeted comments, which were removed due to their similarity to a glut of comments left on Tig's videos and website and in emails over the past year by a stalker. This person has been court ordered to refrain from all contact with Tig. This is a painful situation and it's truly unfortunate it has to come up here-- I hope that you find it in your heart to understand the circumstances under which you now feel slighted. And I hope that you will refrain from reposting those inappropriate comments as you did above, without waiting for a response.
Again, I am not Tig's roomate. But, I would call her a friend. I have not spoken to her face to face in over 10 months, although we have communicated occasionally by phone and email. As you can see in the interview, I indicated in the question regarding the crackpot tour that I have collaborated with Tig in the past. I was contacted by Tig a number of months ago when she learned that I might have been looking for a place. She and two other comics were concurrently looking for a 4th roommate in a houseful of comedians. I did not move in with them.
As a standup comedian active in the Los Angeles scene for well over a decade, I am on friendly terms with hundreds of comedians. I hope that the concern you've voiced really does regard journalistic integrity as opposed to a personal vendetta and that this will answer your question. My relationships with comedians-- and many of the comics who are most newsworthy in Los Angeles are also my friends-- will have it's pros and cons when I write about comedy. I've learned so much about the inner workings of comedy due to my experience working alongside these comics, interacting with them professionally and socially, and I think this experience qualifies me as an expert as to who is at the top of their comedy game, advancing the craft of standup and making a difference in the Los Angeles and national scene. But I acknowledge it is possible that my friendships might color some objectivity. I keep this in mind and I look to radio for a parallel: I feel that if Steve Jones can do a consistently good radio show, maybe I can somehow pull off an occasional article about comedy. I find your comments extremely bizzarre and dubious. I asked you if you were her roommate as I'd heard, and you had all my posts and those of another poster removed. Correction: You left one post that was flattering to you.
Now, you come along and mention that Notaro has a stalker. I don't see how that is relevant in any way to you removing posts that only inquire as to the factual nature of your duties as a journalist to disclose. You are acting as a member or the press and there are codas you must adhere to. As you can see, my questions are not answered. How are we going to face the future knowing how so many bad people exist? That's the biggest concern: How does one ever dream of a contentment when they learn that judges are liars, prosecutors are maniacs, Comedians are a diseased and desperate bunch, and that way too few don't cave to thier wimpy impulses.

I'm thinking the rallying cry is too muted or maybe justice isn't sexy enough and I have to put some tittilation in my frustration. I'll try in the coming week but I'm no pro at eroticizing tales of corruption .
Judges Samantha Jessner and Karla Kerlin committing fraud on the city of Los Angeles. Martin Boags lying in court documents to cost the city fraudulent competency hearings. The minutes saying that only Felise Cohen Kalpakian was there and that Judge Jessner initiated it. PD's all witnesses but no one is reporting it so I have to before the deadline. Steamrolled into the hearing for no other reason than there are dirty crooks running this city or let's hope it's just restricted to Divisions 40, and Bork and Martinez, and Landin, and Jessner, and Villar, and Vanderet and four others that also could have stopped this but there inaction pales in comparison. And, Kyle Dunnigan batters a 70 year old holocaust survivor because I guess he's the tex watson in this and he is not prosecuted because a fish left out in the Mohave for 3 years smells sweeter than the legal system. Large legged Val Myers thinks she's scot free. She is not. None of them are. And, that psychopath Tig Notaro strutting around on those wimpy yet manly legs, and now donating money to Walter Reed an curated witnesses into her Bullshit Bentzen Ball??????????
My mother is trying to tell this story to her sister on the phone, and it sounds so unbeleivable and she hasn't covered a tenth of it. There is a thousand more madnesses to this and my mother is now blaming herself for causing this by telling the police she will sure them etc. She is utterly fearless, a warrior, and turns out I'm the same. Moms invited to a holocaust dinner for 300 bucks. There she could maybe tell Villagrossa or Trutanich what is going on under their watch but Matilda Notaro has made sure we don't have a spare 300 bucks ...but that can change. Jews suck. that the jury trial right does not stem from the state or federal constitution. (People v.

Either the defense or the prosecution may demand a jury trial on the question of the

Defense counsel may waive the right to a jury trial on the competency question, even over

The trial court “need not advise the defendant of [the jury trial] right.” (People v.
Masterson, supra, Cal.4th at p. 972.)
Prior to the commencement of a jury trial on the question of the defendant’s competence,
the parties “are entitled only to the number of peremptory challenges provided for in civil
trials, even if the underlying offense is punishable by death or life imprisonment.”
(People v. Stanley (1995) 10 Cal.4th 764, 807.)
If either party exercises the jury right, “the court shall charge the jury, instructing them on
all matters of law necessary for the rendering of a verdict.” (Pen. Code, § 1369, subd.

The jury must render a unanimous verdict. (Pen. Code, § 1369, subd. (f).)
Presumption of Competence
According to Penal Code section 1369, subdivision (f), “[i]t shall be presumed that the
defendant is mentally competent unless it is proved by a preponderance of the evidence
that the defendant is mentally incompetent.” (Pen. Code, § 1369, subd. (f); see also
People v. Rells (2000) 22 Cal.4th 860 [“The Fourteenth Amendment’s due process clause
in fact permits the presumption that the defendant is mentally competent unless he is
proved by a preponderance of the evidence to be otherwise”].)
Civil Discovery Rules Apply To Competency Proceedings
Just as the number of peremptory challenges afforded both parties is governed by civil
law, the rules of civil discovery have also been held to apply in competency trials.

Read my blog. You are a victim of the Conspiracy that is happening in Division 40 of the Criminal Courts building. Judges and prosecutors are shaming themselves left and right and they are going to cost this state millions. Illegal ex partes, sidebars that are called to trick the defendant and what goes on at them is LIED about, Judges who are willing to take the blame and told that they are ignorant of the law. They are happy to admit it - for either money or influence, Prosecutors calling in threat managment units because the defendant called them bozos once when after a year they were toying with her life and the lawyer she hired did nothing but stipulate to continuance despite the defendant saying over and over and over again in e-mails that she did not want continuances.
Ploys like desperate and malicious competency hearings plotted by the prosecution( prosecutions NEVER ask for competency hearing unless they have dirty motives and in no way do they or anyone beleive that I am incompetent to stand trial. ) These conspirators can't bear the thought of a trial as there case is a bad joke and it's too late to just dismiss it without incurring the liabilites that would naturally be assumed when they victimize someone in this way. After a year of not suceeding to get the defendant to just plea to informal diversion they devise some sweaty competency scheme and they go as far as to say that a Judge Samantha Jessner after "multiple times" obseving me declared a doubt. Firstly, I never stood in front of Judge Jessner before and the minute orders confirm that. Secondly, she never declared a doubt but caved to the wishes of two depraved prosecutors who lied over and over again without shame and publicly committed an ex parte where they undoubtably lied some more. They are now off the case as is the Judge and I'd love to know why. I sure had nothing to do with it. I also never stipulated to any of these temporary judges even hearing my case. Off the record, I said to Martin Boags: How do you think an appeals court will tolerate all this? He smirkedd and said, " I'm not worried about what the record will say," and I said to him, " Because you know it's all set up in advance?" He smirked again.
This competency hoax will require a trial by 12 people- on your dime. It will require two experts and more. California, you too are being screwed and you should stop being so complacent.

How does that make you feel when you know this is all a snowballing pile of crap that you all have conspired to creat? Did Judge Samantha Jessner really declare doubt about my sanity on her own and was there not a widely witnessed ex parte where kalpakian and waxler said god knows what. Did they not lie to the tribunal over and over again in open court then... They are now laying all the blame on you Judge Jessner. You must be ok with that. The minutes even say they had nothing to do with it. Was there ever a motion or a written statement by you about your supposed conclusion as required to make it in any way legal?
Was it then not vacated because it wasnt't legal for other reasons even-- Villar declared me perfectlly competent to be my own lawyer and so now you've dragged Villar into this too.
Then, a sidebar with Judge Kerlin where she puts on a show-- sways me not to go to trial in 4 days and how to wait on Boags for a month cause he's a "good guy". You never ask or agree to a continuance but you figure if this kind seeming judge is allowing this Boags to take his long vacation while you wait and wait for some justice-- you'll trust this Kerlin. I mean how is it possible that so many judges are completely corrupt? A) Notaro was standing outside with owner, Mark Flanagan Notaro
saw Sp and her sister running towards her. She ran inside and security closed the doors.
B)Sp pounded on the doors and yelled, “where gonna get that fucking dyke!”

A) I was standing outside the club with the owner Mark Flanagan. I noticed Al and her sister, Lauren Sp, about fifteen feet away from my right. They ran towards me and lunged at me, and I ran inside before they could make physical contact. They were not allowed entrance into the club, and Mark Flanagan called the police.

Notaro told him that Al had been bothering him as of late.and on a previous occasion had previous occasion she had physically assaulter her. By her being at the club it made Notaro “uncomfortable.” as well as she said it was “freaking her out.” Griffee advised that he always likes to take care of his performers, so as to Notaro’s request, he then walked up to Al and asked her to leave his club.

How and what happens when Sp arrives at coffee shop.
A. - Sp arrived at the coffee shop and confronted Willen and Notaro.

G. After her show had ended, Griffee stated Notaro had come up to him and told him there was a subject who was now inside the club, and she wanted this subject to leave. After briefly speaking with Notaro, Griffee said the female subject in question whom Notaro had been speaking about, was Al.
Notaro told him that Al had been bothering him as of late.and on a previous occasion had previous occasion she had physically assaulter her. By her being at the club it made Notaro “uncomfortable.” as well as she said it was “freaking her out.” Griffee advised that he always likes to take care of his performers, so as to Notaro’s request, he then walked up to Al and asked her to leave his club.
